Norwich Vikings are hosting round two of the Bickers Lifting/Stebbings Car Superstore sponsored Eastern Centre Championships on Sunday at Cadders Hill, Lyng, in Norfolk. Recognised as one of the premier circuits in the UK, almost 200 riders will be involved in the fifteen race programme.
With championship leader, Lewis Tombs, out of action with a hand injury, it looks likely that a new series leader will top the points table after Sunday. Tombs is currently on 75 points, with former champion, Luke Benstead on 66. 2018 champion, Shaun Southgate, returns after injury, and will be hoping to improve on his 50 points tally. Other MX1 premier class riders include local ace, Declan Whittle, Ben Cole, young Essex star, Connor Hughes, and popular veteran, Steve Bixby.
The premier class is also stacked with lots of young MX2 riders, including Ben Clark, who currently leads the class, Tom Grimshaw, Josh Peters, Ryan Allison and Kings Lynn youngster, Calum Mitchell.
Leading the HRM Boilers sponsored expert rookies series is Stebbings sponsored Ryan Watts on 69 points, with local youngster, Connor Baldry in second place on 58 points.
160 junior grade riders will be in action, with the fastest 40 from timed practise competing in the Eastern junior championship races. Kane Fisher is leading after round one with 63 points, Jack Youngs is on 58, just one point ahead of local rider, Ryan Powley. Others in with a chance, includes Travis Frost, Ollie Brader, Max Bickers, William Farrow and fast lady racer, Amie Goodlad.
Practise starts at around 9.15am, with the first race at 11.00.
