The most beautiful Autumn sunshine greeted the well subscribed youth section of the days racing. With 13 keen enduro riders made up of 10 boys and it was lovely to see welcome the 3 girls who raced alongside under the number of 34 Maisie Elvin Andrews, 22 Jemma Sargeant, and Freya Jolly no 33, with 2 heats across the day, each consisting of a 10-minute sprint plus 1 lap it gave spectators some serious racing to watch resulting in a fast and furious final of 20 minutes plus a lap as the last race on the card. The eventual 1st & 2nd placed riders had previously won a heat each and the final saw a very brief change of lead when 13 year old Will Turtle was first off the line but shortly afterwards 14 year Will Belton took the lead and held off a persistent chase from Morgan Plaskett who relentlessly kept up the fast pace across the twisty undulating stubble fields with the 2 boys flat out across the 2 available straights throwing up the dust in their wake.
It was lovely to see so many staying behind for the prize giving where new podium boxes gave the winners an awards ceremony to remember after a perfect day of racing. Thanks were given to all the loyal supporters and club members who made the event run so smoothly and helped with the recent upgrading of branded club equipment.
