Centre Announcements

  • Open Letter to Motocross Competitors
There have been recently, many comments on the subject of denying riders an entry at the Eastern Motocross Championship rounds. Obviously, this situation has to change, as we all want to see riders competing at our great sport. However, many comments made by riders who simply do not understand the reasons why rider number restrictions of 160 have been taking place. Click here to view an Open Letter to Motocross Competitors which we hope will help to clarify the situation

  • 2 Man Champs Round 1
The first round of the Dave Barkshire Two Man Enduro Championship was not without drama; the original venue was waterlogged so the organisers Sudbury Motor Cycle Club move the event to Foxborough Quarry Sible Hedingham and on the day before when the course was set up conditions were perfect.  However Mother Nature was not kind as it rained overnight making the conditions muddy, slippery, stamina sapping and very interesting. • Goodbye Chick
It is with great regret that we learned of the passing of Graham "Chick" Garrod. Chick had been unwell for some time, but until recently his family had brought him to events.
He has been such a stalwart to the Eastern Centre over many years, and the many clubs that he has helped out will miss him terribly. Chick did not mind which job he was asked to do when he attended grass track, motocross or enduro events,  whether it was as clerk of the course, steward, noise tester, scrutineer or marshal, he just took it all in his stride.
To state that he will be missed is very much an understatement. To Phyllis, Emma, Adam and all of his family, the Woodbridge club sends its sincerest condolences.
    Rest in peace Chick.
