With the current ban on sport in place there is obviously no need for entry forms and event regulations to be published. This, coupled with the logistics of getting the gazette printed and distributed, has resulted in the decision to not publish an April issue.
Despite the ban continuing to at least the end of May, and possibly beyond, we are hoping to produce an issue in May. Obviously this will rely heavily on editorial content and we would be grateful for anything members can supply for possible inclusion. We are sure that Sidge and Charlie are not the only people in the region with anecdotes of times past, so if you have memories of people or events that you think may be of interest to others please let us have them - if you have photos as well, that would be fantastic.
The lack of sporting events means we all have more free time on our hands at the moment, and what better way to spend it than reading anecdotes about our favourite pastime? It's also a great opportunity to put together an anecdotal history of the Eastern Centre (yes, I AM calling it that, rather than ACU Eastern) with the 100th anniversary of its inception fast approaching.
