Proposed Revised Constitution for the Eastern Centre ACU

Cancellations

As in the past we will do our best to keep you informed of any event cancellations, but we are reliant on clubs letting the permit secretary know as soon as possible.

EASTERN CENTRE of the AUTO-CYCLE UNION CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION CONDITIONS
ENDURO

1. All Eastern Centre Championship Solo Rounds with a minimum lap length of 5 miles.
The list of events appears in the Current Eastern Centre ACU Fixture List

2. Class eligible for Championship points will be Championship, Expert and Clubman.

3. The title of “Eastern Centre Enduro Champion” wilI be awarded to the best overall performance in the Championship Class. Winners of the Expert and Clubman will be acclaimed as “Eastern Centre (class) Enduro Champions”

4. To be eligible for championship points a competitor must be an affiliated member of an Eastern Centre Club at least one month prior to the event.

5. Supplementary Regulations and Entry Forms will be published in the Eastern Centre Gazette .

6. Tyres -As per current ACU Standing Regulations. If Motocross tyres are permitted this will be published in the Supplementary Regulations and/or Final Instructions

7. All machines should comply with Enduro Regs. as per ACU Handbook.

8. Calculation of Championship Points
For each event the calculation of points for overall and all classes will be as follows:
1st 20 points 6th 10 points 11th 5 points
2nd 17 points 7th 9 points 12th 4 points
3rd 15 points 8th 8 points 13th 3 points
4th 13 points 9th 7 points 14th 2 points
5th 11 points 10th 6 points 15th 1 points

In the case of ties in the results of each day, the competitors concerned will each receive the points for this position, e.g. Competitors A & B both finish the day on the same score of 800 penalty points and Competitor C is on 820
penalty points the championship points would be :In the case of ties in the results, the competitors concerned will each receive the points for this position. e.g.

Competitor A -20 points; Competitor B -20 points; Competitor C-15 points

9. Calculation of Championship Positions
At the conclusion of the series the winner of each class and the overall title of
‘’Eastern Centre Enduro Champion” will be determined as follows

(a) In the event of there being four or less rounds in the series, points for each
driver’s best results from all events will be added together

(b) If there are five or more events in the championship the points for each
driver’s best results from all events will be added together and then the drivers
worst result will be subtracted.
The driver who is then identified as having the highest number of points to his credit will
be declared the winner.
A driver must have competed in a minimum of three events to be classified in the final results

(c) If the calculation of points in accordance with clause 9 (a) or (b)
subsequently result in a tie the following will take precedence:-
(i) Driver with the highest number of first places
(ii) Driver with the highest number of second places etc

10. Awards. Should any Champion be not resident within the Centre boundaries, the best Centre Resident in that class shall be awarded the ‘named’ Trophy, and an additional Trophy shall be awarded to any non resident Champion.
