Trials Sub-Committee
The Trials Sub-Committee comprises ex-officio members from the Competitions Committee, together with organisers and riders who have been selected to serve on the committee at a Forum which is open to all interested parties within the centre.
As with all committees and official posts within the centre, members of the Trials Sub-Committee must be affiliated members of the ACU and also members of clubs affiliated to the Eastern Centre. However, it is understood the sub-committee may co-opt individuals who do not conform to this criteria if it is thought their respective skills or knowledge may benefit sporting trials and the furtherance of the discipline throughout the centre and/or the ACU.
The Trials Sub-Committee meets to discuss items of interest and importance to the running of sporting trials within the centre but cannot itself make decisions that are binding. Instead, the sub-committee acts as an expert consultancy and advises the Competitions Committee on changes that it feels are necessary. It is then up to the Competitions Committee to agree or disagree with their deliberations and propose the adoption of the changes through a meeting of the Centre Board.
Any item intended for discussion by the Trials Sub-Committee should be forwarded to it's Chairman - David Cordle .
