As in the past we will do our best to keep you informed of any event cancellations, but we are reliant on clubs letting the permit secretary know as soon as possible.

ALL CHANGE FOR STISTED MX

Motocross Quad racers and Solo over-30s NGR Championship chasers might wish to make note of the Stisted Bank Holiday Monday fixture on 26 May 2008. Braintree & DMCC will be running their annual motocross over the green fields of Stisted, but this year with a difference from the traditional short circuit used for many years.

The club has been able to use the adjacent (former grasstrack) field this year, which will house a much-improved and generous pits and car parking area, enabling all of the normally-utilised site to be laid out for racing. A one-mile circuit has been designed by a new team of Club members taking over the main tasks this year, including past Eastern Centre MX Champion Steve Finch and active Centre riders John and Aaron Smith. The circuit provides plenty of width for quads overtaking, and lots of twists and turns. This undulating pastureland venue, being used only once a year, is ideal for the club rider, with no man-made jumps. Every part of the track is natural terrain with only a few parts involving moderate take-offs, and no high speed sections.

Experts and non-NGR registered juniors are also catered for. The club is confident that this departure from its traditional short circuit layout will make for an exciting and also a safer day's racing by minimising the hazards of lapping normally associated with short track lengths. The event is open to riders of Eastern, South Eastern, South Midland and Southern Centre clubs, and as well as including an NGR Championship round, it forms Round 1 of the Eastern Centre Quad Championship.

Watch out for regs in a forthcoming issue of the Eastern Centre Gazette.
