HALSTEAD & DISTRICT MCC 2008 MX SEASON.
Halstead & DMCC MX riders proved beyond doubt that in 2008 they were capable of taking top race results throughout the Eastern Centre MX at various meetings.
No fewer than nine of the club’s Expert riders scored points in Eastern Centre Expert Championships. Best placed Jason Morland riding a Jim Aim 450cc KTM machine in 3r place. In 4th place Patrick Gilboy with Andrew Greeney 5th. Also scoring points: Brad Tomlin, Clint Wright, Stuart Dyerson Stuart Morrison, Craig Palmer & Jak Terry.
Eastern Centre Junior Championship within top ten points scorers without a doubt a MX star in the making Bradley Howlett. Bradley proud winner of the Andy Crawford Challenge Trophy as Eastern Centre Junior MX2 Champion.
NGR Championship thirty nine riders scored over the 8 rounds held again Halstead club riders faired well in race results, ten finished in high up places in points table within the three classes. Best places within the three classes Chris Keeble in 4th spot in Over 40’s class.
GH Motorcycle sponsored Evening MX Series. Most successful club Expert Jason Morland. Most successful club Junior rider was Bradley Howlett, being crowned 2008 Evening MX Junior Overall Champion.
DEP 2 Stroke British Championship 2008 in only his second season in DEP Championship Bradley Howlett finished in 4th place in Junior Class.
Inter Club Competition for Costain Cup, Halstead club in 2nd place.
