Proposed Revised Constitution

Eastern Centre Constitution Revision After a two and a half year consultation process, and an open meeting held on Thursday September 4th, the working group set up by the Eastern Centre board to revise the Centre constitution, submitted their proposal to the clubs of the Eastern Centre.
Voting forms were sent to all club secretaries to be returned by October 7th 2008. They were opened and counted by Paul Nash, Chairman of the working group, at the Eastern Centre AGM on November 11th 2008.
The result was 25 votes in favour, 43 votes against, and 4 abstentions. Therefore the revised constitution was not accepted.

However, the centre executive recognised the hard work that had been put in by the working group and agreed that there were some very good ideas in the proposal which need to be looked at in the near future.
These ideas will be the subject of further discussions in the new year between the working group and the centre executive.
