Entries are opening on Monday 13th February at 7.pm for Round 2 of the GH Motorcycles – ACU Eastern Enduro Championship. The event held by Woodbridge Motorcycle Club, is a solo round being held at Iken near Woodbridge on Sunday 12th March. Most riders will know the terrain at Iken, which is sandy and open fields and woodland, and the course is planned to be about 3 miles.
The event is being run under a similar format to what Bury St Edmunds Club ran at Hawkedon in 2017 and 2018. It’s a timecard event for solo riders where each rider completes between 4 to 6 sessions depending on class with a short break of approximately 20 minutes between sessions. The rider who clocks up the most laps is the winner. Obviously, penalties are based on number of laps, lateness, and quickest lap time. In simple terms, it’s similar to a two-man team event but with one rider competing all sessions but with the opportunity of a break after each session.
