ACU Eastern are pleased to report that the Centre has received a grant from ACU Head Office to cover the full costs of running a First Aid training session for trials organisers.
The trials regulations recommend that organisers have a trained first aider in attendance at all events.Many organisers have relied on members who are given this training as part of their job but with the average age of organisers getting older and many being retired there are less people who receive this training through their work place therefore this grant is welcomed.
Coupled with the provision of defibrillators which were subsidised by Head Office and the Centre, trials will be better supported in the event of a medical incident.
